Anyone use HaloScan? More about it can be found here: http://www.haloscan.com/news/

It's supposed to allow for trackbacks and comments. Just wondering if:

    a) it's more or less secure than using the WP method. ???
    b) does that mean comments no longer go into MySQL database?

If you use Haloscan, the comments will go into the Haloscan database.

I prefer using WP's comments instead of Haloscan for my blog.

However, I do use Haloscan on my blog at Blogspot -> http://HumbleReviews.blogspot.com

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks!

    Any other comments are appreciated!

Unless you sign up for HaloScan's membership service, you can only access your comments that are less than 4 months old, after which HaloScan archives the comments. This is a feature that killed any interest in HaloScan for me.

    Blogging Rule #24:

Only use a tool or service that takes away control of content affiliated with your blog when you have no other option.
