The reason I didn't post a link to the page is because it isn't live yet and I would rather not have people viewing an unfinished redesign of my site. I will try and replicate the error on another installation of wordpress.
It only happens when I have italics in the post body however, I figured the tags were screwing it up, but I am not sure why they would do that. I didn't realise people would need to actually see the code if I knew that that was what the issue was. I'll try and post a link asap though.
