To modify themes, one must set permissions to 666. Anyone have any negative results from this? I'd rather not let the world be able to modify my files, but I'd also like to edit on-line.

Once you're done just set them back to 644. For the edit period it shouldn't be a problem (unless you tweak every time you're there that is!)
