Hacking lightbox2.0 to show slideshows?

I’m using the lightbox 2.0 plugin….

And I know you can do a series in the lightbox pop-over (as it says on the page), but you have to place all the images in the page and title them with a {tag}, I was wondering If anyones discovered a way to use it (or hacked it) so I can have it so you can click on a single image in a post that links to a series of photos.

Or is there an alternative image expander/viewer that I can use instead that will do what I need?

i’d also like to use it with video if possible…

any ideas?
