• My blog http://babygotbooks.com has been hacked – again. Somehow they are accessing my PHP files and inserting code, which I have been able to remove in the past and everything seems to be fine. But then they’re back. This morning’s error message says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: require_wp_db() in /home/.hector/timandjen/babygotbooks.com/wp-settings.php on line 211

I’ve pulled up my wp-settings.php file in notepad, and I can’t see any obvious insertions. Anyone know a good way to spot the bogus code?

For answering purposes, please assume that I am an idiot.

Or maybe not…I’ve been searching through the comments and it appears that others have had this same error message and it was unrelated to hacking. (I’ve been hacked twice this week, so I am a little gunshy maybe.) Anyway, I’ve read through the fixes for the error message and have two problems (1) I don’t understand them and (2) I am wondering why this happened weeks after I upgraded???
