I just got an email that the password to may WordPress blog had been changed. It has been. The email must have been changed, too because when I request a new password using my user name I get nothing via email.

What can I do to regain control?

    1. Go into the WordPress database with phpMyAdmin (typically through cPanel on most web hosts).
    2. Browse table wp_user
    3. Find the row with column user_login equal to your user ID
    4. Write down the value you see in the column user_email. That is where the missing e-mails are going. You may need it later if anyone wants to investigate what happened.
    5. Change the value of user_email to your e-mail.
    6. Request a new password as you did before.
