   It seems there is a way to hide things from IE 5. But what about IE6?
   How can I make it ignore something that sets it off on its crazy spells..?

   Sorry, this isn't something we can help you with here. You should do a google search for IE css bugs, and access some of the sites which specialize in the problem.
