I need to allow unregistered users to leave messages on my site powered by WordPress. Not news, just messages. A guestbook or forum plugin would be nice for that I suppose. It would also goot if it integrates completely into WordPress so that it will share my site design and WordPress's search function.
Any suggestions?
Just make a WordPress Page and allow people to comment on it.
Viper007Bond, visitors must have possibility to post new messages. Not just comments.
podz, thanks, I'll try it. is it good enough? :)
I have that guestbook method working just fine on two sites that don't use the blog but wanted a spam-free solution to a guestbook. (Bad-Behavior and SK2 act as bouncers)
podz, I see no guestbook there. No download link, no installation guide. Am I stupid? Could you show me the way please?
On that page it says "I wrote a little guide a while back about adding a guestbook to your WordPress site." and the word 'guide' links to http://geeksmakemehot.com/wordpress-guestbook/
"Their messages will be posted as comments" - not what I need. :(
Is there any real guestbook that integrates into WordPress?
What is the difference ?
(I honestly don't know)
I want comments to be marked as "comments" and messages as "messages". I am not so php experienced to make modifications to WP by my own. It is a first reason. The second is I am expecting the posibility to comment users posts.
