You could do this with something like Gravity Forms which will let you create a post from a form and give it the ‘brags’ category.

Not even if you show an archive page of the ‘brags’ category?
having to redo css is sort of over my head .. i tried to do but i really want folks to be able to post on the current brags section not in a forum .. i am not thrilled with the way forums look ..

I have a current post category for “brags” for students ..
I would LOVE to be able to put a box here so students can leave brags without becoming a member of site ..

I have searched and played with a number of plug-ins and I can’t seem to be able to add to this already established page ..
