Every once in a while I like to write for other peoples blogs for free to give them free unique content and to get noticed for my work.

Also, I like to do the same thing for others to increase the audience for both parties. Is there other people out there that likes to network like this also?

Or do you think it would be a good idea?

Let me know what you think, thanks.

Guest posts are all the rage right now.

It'd be helpful if you can mention your blog niche and/or personal expertise though.

Really, I didn't haven't heard of them as much as you express. Where have you seen a bunch of other people doing this?

My blog niche is created personalized glass etchings, creating sports logos in glass mugs, names, glass art, and just craft type stuff.

I write for a bunch of other blogs and could get you promoted there: kinda like a PR with a link to your site.

I guess it all depends on the niche. Mine is the already over-crowded blogging/MMO niche so there's a plenty of guest posting going on.

I'm not as familiar with craft-type blogs so perhaps you're right. Either way, guest posting is a great way to spread the word to a new audience.

Anyway, maybe you want to post a link to your site?

Eric, I bet your practice is proven to be pretty effective at exposing your blog and business.

I can't imagine a better way of establishing authority across a niche community by making your services available to everyone interested.

I'm not in the glass crafting industry but I surely am interested in learning something about you. So, as Gabe wrote above please give us a link to your blog

    Cheers,
    Cristian

Thanks Cristian, I am actually kinda new to this and the site doesn't make alot of money, but its all a learning experience.

Its just one of my hobbies with an ebook geared to help people that other books don't help with, but am planning on making it into a membership site. Either way its just a learning experience to establish my site across the web and learn how to interact with people with good seo.

The blog for my glass etching information is at http://www.glassetchingsecrets.com/blog/ .

It seems to be hard for me to network with other people that want to spread the audience and be a benefit to both parties with one way links and good quality content.

I'll see how it goes, but let me know if you have any questions or critisism for success.

@gomezu111 - After looking at your site, here's what I would focus my energy on:

    1. Look and feel - I don't mind a simple design but there should be more design elements to it. For an artsy site, you should have at least a header image.

    2. Navigation - Not only do you not have categories, you're missing some fundamental elements of navigation. The biggest violation? When I click on About or other link, there's no link to bring me back to the blog.

    3. Community - You don't have a lot of activity. You'll need to build relationships with your visitors. Ideally, especially since you're looking for guest posts, you'll want to reach out to other bloggers in your niche. Start commenting on their blogs, create some reciprocal links, etc...
