   hi

   can someone please explain how i map the following

   i want to go to blog1.mywpmumainsite.com and see the blog at mywpmumainsite.com/blog1

   i am creating my blogs via the subdirectory option, i can get other domains to work fine, just not a subdomain of my main wpmu blog

   Um... I think when you enable Multisite on WP, you must choose to either use sub-domains or sub-folders.

   So how come you have you blog at mywpmumainsite.com/blog1 when you really want to use it on blog1.mywpmumainsite.com?

   I suggest a re-install and you selct sub-domains.

   No i dont want to do that as this is the only subdomain i will be using, the rest will all be their own domains mapping to the subdirectories which works fine

   just for some reason doing the same with a subdomain of the main wpmu domain gives me a 500 internal error

   500 errors are server errors usually due to permissions.

   Not sure why i would have a 500 error in just trying to view the subdirectory tho

   i set up wpmu on http://www.mymainsite.com

   i set up a blog at http://www.mymainsite.com/blog1

   now all im trying to do is map it so when i go to

   blog1.mymainsite.com i get the blog at http://www.mymainsite.com/blog1
