• Group blog activity, as reported by the blog directory, doesn’t reflect the latest blog post, but rather the latest activity in the group. Thus, if there’s a membership change in the group, the last group blog activity is erroneously updated, making it so that the blog as listed in the blog directory appears to have been updated recently.

To reproduce: make an update in a group; notice how the group blog activity has been mistakenly updated.

I’m not able to reproduce this, but it’s possible that I’m misinterpreting your description of the problem. Here’s what I’ve done:

    – On /sites/, the blog “foo” says “active 2 weeks, 6 days ago”
    – Associated blog “foo” with group “bar”
    – Posted an activity item in the group “bar”
    – /sites/ still says that “foo” was “active 2 weeks, 6 days ago”

Am I looking in the right place?

    What I tried was:

    – On /sites, the group “Sustainable Humanities” says it was “active 3 weeks ago,”
    – Joined the group “Sustainable Humanities”
    – /sites says the group was “active 30 seconds ago”

Maybe it’s not just any update, but membership updates that are causing this? Or maybe it’s something completely different on my end.

What I’m not really clear about is how the *group* Sustainable Humanities is showing up on the /sites directory. I’m assuming that the group is associated with a site by the exact same name?
