• Update 29 July 2014:

Once again an update to SlimStat is broken. This plugin really needs better quality assurance!

    Update 3 July 2014:

I just received the following message from WP Slim Stat:

“We’ve decided to convert it (WP Slim Stat) into a paid product. More information will be available in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.”

This is of course very sad to hear and because of this I will look around for another stat plugin.

I really liked WP Slim Stat and was planning to buy a couple of add-ons. But I think the main reason for WP Slim Stat being so successful is because the basic version is free.

As the title says! It is a great plugin but the author needs to have a better QA. And it would be great if you where able to handle the settings for Slimstat for the entire WordPress network (in a MU installation) from the Network admin menu. Currently you have to login and set the settings for each and every new blog that you want to use Slimstat on. This is extremely time consuming and should be unnecessary if you would like to use the same settings for all blogs in the network.

Would a network setting add-on convince to change your rating to at least a 4? 🙂 As for QA, unfortunately we have a small team, and this is not our day job. Not to find excuses, but we try our best to ship a FREE product that works 😉

    A network setting add-on would change my rating to a 5. 🙂

Yes, I know the product is free and that is great! I am very impressed that you are taking your free time to develop such a great plugin.

But please focus a little bit more attention on QA. It is very frustrating that the plugin stops working when you update to a new version.
