I did do a brief search, and i apologise if this has been asked before and i did not see it. I’m also not sure if this is the best place to post as it is a mixture of a them/plugin/general wordpress problem. If the moderators/admins think that it should live elsewhere feel free to move it

I’ve just set up my blog using wordpress 1.5.2 and installed the Benevolence theme from thought mechanics which seemed to be going fine. Next i started on plugins which all went well except for the gravatars one which has me completely stumped – i’m using the skippy.net plugin. It will not go in the right place – it’s either above the comment box or behind it so you can’t see most of it. I’ve played with the padding and margins but it simply will not display correctly.

It also will only display my gravatar from gravatar.com – anyone else who posts gets the default “?” blank gravatar loaded locally from the gravatars folder. This makes no sense, as those who are posting say that it works when they comment on other blogs so it’s something wrong on my site.

While i have posted on the theme creator’s discussion section on flickr the problem does seem to extend beyond just the theme and i thought the general wordpress support might be able to offer some better support

    My blog is here: http://www.stonysleep.com/blog/
Any other details you might need i will do my best to provide

    Many Thanks in advance

  • I don’t have an answer for you but it appears that my gravatars have simply stopped working for me using that plug in.

    Sorry it’s been so long
Not getting email notification i didnt realise i’d had a reply!
I got it sorted in the end by using the official gravatars plugin from gravatar.com
It seems to be working very well using that combined with the css from skippy’s readme (though i’ve done some alterations)
Don’t know why one plugin works for some and not others. Seems to depend on the theme.
