    Hello!

Having an issue that drives me crazy. For two days now, my Admin panel look totally [ unnecessary expletive deleted ] . When I log in to my site, the admin panel consist of just text and no graphic. I haven´t installed/updated any widgets, tweaks or something like that, it just happend totally random.

I´ve tried to use WordPress for iPhone/iPad and it looks OK, but when I´m signing in on my computer it looks just like crap. I´ve tried different browsers but the result is still the same. Anyone who knows why it´s like this? And more important - how do I fix it? Added a screenshot and hopefully someone know the answer.

    Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Hey esmi and thanks for the quick reply!

I´m not that really good at technical stuff, but if I delete all items in the WP-folder (except the wp-content) will I still have all entries, images, links etc. intact? As well as my widgets, theme settings and so?

I can´t even deactivate plugins because of how the admin panel looks. That was my first though, that even if nothing has been updated I should try this. Is there a way to deactivate plugins/change to default theme without having access to the admin panel?

Yes. This is all stored in your database.

See the link I posted above.

Woopsie. Didn´t spot the link, haha. Tried to rename the plugins-folder (according to the link) but that didn´t do the trick. I noticed that I can click the "Theme"-link and then my admin-panel looks fine. Tried to change theme but that didn´t solve the problem.

I guess that means that there´s nothing wrong with the theme or the plugins. Next step would be to delete those files, right?

There´s a menu in the left side of the admin-panel that´s namned "Themes". When I clicked that, my Admin-panel turned normal, but when I tried to click anything else it crashed. Didn´t do anytting in a couple of hours but now it seems to work. Strange. Well, if it ain´t broken, don´t fix it. No idea how it got fixed, though.

    Thanks for the helt, esmi!
