Graphene Theme text is italic (4 posts)

After the first of the year the text in the body of my posts now always display with the italic style, even though I didn't do anything to make it that way. I'm using the Graphene theme and I have a child theme, but even when I disable the child theme the text is still italic. I checked the original Graphene theme and the text there is normal. I tired adding code to the child theme to make the body text normal and that didn't work. I even tried putting the html code in the post itself to make the text normal and that still doesn't do the trick. I can change everything about the body text (for example, size, font family, and color) EXCEPT the style, which always displays in the posts as italic, even when I override it at any level. Where is the post getting this info?

I'm using the most current version of Safari, but I also tried looked at my blog on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Same thing. I'm using the most current versions of WP and the Graphene theme. My blog is http://www.nonsensetomomsense.com. Help!

It's possible that your site has been hacked - are you hosted on GoDaddy?

Thank you both for responding so quickly. Your links to those threads were quite helpful. YES, it turns out I was hacked! And yes, I'm hosted on Godaddy. I fixed the problem by removing the offending code from my header.php file. And then I called Godaddy to report the problem and ask their advice, but the guy in support I talked to knew nothing about it. Which is weird because when I goggled it, there are articles on the Web about this very problem dating back to last fall. The Godaddy guy just told me to just make sure that all my WP, theme, and plugin code was always up-to-date and that should keep the hackers away. WHen I explained that my code is always up-to-date he just said he didn't know what else to tell me.

I will continue to read all the links you've provided, but in the mean time, do you have any additional information about how to prevent this from happening? I'm not even sure how I became vulnerable to it in the first place. It's pretty creepy, actually.
