Grant extra permissions button missing only text

    Hi,

    first of all thank you for this great plugin, it`s really awesome 😉

    It works like a charm for me, but I`ve never got the part of posting/publishing to FB to work.

    First I`v created an “App” in my FB profile as described in the tutorial, then I installed and configured the SFC plugin with a valid application id, secret and fanpage id.

    Now when I try to press the “grant extra permissions” button to activate the publishing system in the configuration, it`s not possible because there is no button but only text on the configuration page like in the following screenshot:

    Ive tried it with multiple browsers, same situation everywhere. Ive also got no errors or something. I`m really confused.

    What could be wrong ?

    I no longer really support or maintain this plugin, so I recommend using another one.

    However, that error happens when you don’t have your site’s URL properly configured in the FB App. Without the site URL in the app, the JS doesn’t work on that site, and the button won’t render.

    Hi Samuel,

    thank you this helped me to get it working.

    I know that your plugin is discontinued which makes me feel very sad as it is/was the only plugin which offers such a great functionality for WordPress <–> Facebook.I am using it currently on 2 sites

    I also know there is an official FB plugin available but as the ratings for it are so bad I do not want to use it. Beside yours and the official plugin I know no plugin which offers all this features so I hope maybe sometime that it could be continued again (maybe as opensource?).

    Anyways Samuel/Otto thank you for your great and fast help and this superb piece of plugin 😉

    Most of what the plugin does I’ve actually replaced with other plugins.

    The Publish code works better through Jetpack’s Publicize, for example.

    The commenting code is pretty broken and ugly to begin with, so I either just leave it out or use the Jetpack Comments box, which works better.

    Facebook’s official plugin does work, but gets low rating because people can’t figure out how to set up the App. SFC had the same issue, people don’t understand the App system and get confused by it.
