So when I started self hosting with WordPress.org, I got a new url http://www.animalsofroyalty.com and simply got a site redirect for my old url http://www.spencerangel.com to obviously point to the new one.

So basically, I want to switch it back to my old url while staying on WordPress.org. How would I do this? And will it will effect all of my new content, the theme, etc I have posted on the new url? My reasoning for changing it back is because it has way better SEO ranking and a history behind it, it has just been brutal with my new url in terms of visitors. Also, when I switch it back, will the SEO start to revert back to the way it was? If so, could this be a long process?

Btw, I'm hosted through HostGator. I know this is a mouthful, but any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Just make the change on your site, but make sure the domain name is pointing at HostGator's nameservers.
