Google XML Sitemaps Indexing problem

    Hello

    Last week I installed Google XML Sitemaps in my blog. It worked without any problems. Submitted the sitemap in Google Webmaster tools. Out of the 560 urls submitted google says it have 549 urls in its list. I was happy.

    But then I noticed a problem, The new pages getting indexed much slower. I’m running a blog with college notifications and timely updates are very much important. Before installing XML sitemaps google indexes my new posts within 10 minutes of posting, now it requires more than 3 days to get it indexed in the SERPs. By that time many other blogs copies my own content and gets a better raniking.

    I cannot figure out what causes the problem ? anybody experienced such a problem before ? and how can I overcome this ? any config changes necessary ?
