• Everything was working fine. I set things to only index the title. I checked the serps regularly and all of my post pages updated fine. Now all of a sudden my site title is appearing at the end of each title in the serps again.

If this is Google rewriting my titles, then fine. If it’s the plugin not working right for some reason I want to fix it!

I do know that several days ago I experienced a bit of a drop in traffic and rankings. For example, pages that ranked at result #4 are now at #10.

Could a different plugin be causing issues?

That has nothing to do with yoast but with the new future from Google, I have the same. If google find it important to place the site title at the end than it will does, sometimes it complete change the title with the keyword people are looking for. Google wants to personal searhc results. Very weird but that is Google now. It als make SEO a little but useless

I’ve got the same problem but have come to a different conclusion as to what is at fault.

When I check out the title using the ‘SEO/Analyze this page/Check Headers/SEO Check’ option in the WordPress SEO Toolbar, the additional duplicate text appears at the end of every title.

To correct it, I selected ‘Force rewrite titles’ in the ‘Titles and Metas’ section of WordPress SEO. It’s working now for me, but definitely something changed in the last WordPress SEO release to cause this.

FYI: This same problem popped up a year+ ago but Yoast corrected it in a subsequent release.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

I just tried that and the title is showing correctly. However, I am still suspicious that something went wrong after I updated the plugin. I also have had ‘Force Rewrite Titles” in place all along.

Hmmm. It bothers me because I did notice a ranking drop for most of my posts after the website title started appearing at the end of every post again. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I decided to roll-back to the previous version to see if this fixes it. It was working just fine then so I hope!
