I had one of those all too common issues where the plugin encountered issues in rebuilding mode so I deactivated the tag pages and went to save the settings within the plug in..problem is there is no blue button that says save or cancel..it used to be there..not sure what happened..I tried changing the theme, deactivating the plugins and reinstalling it...nothing has fixed this..can you guys help?

I'm not quite clear on what you mean by "deactivated the tag pages" .. can you expand on that?

Hope these details are a little better. Ok, sorry for any confusion. What I mean is when you go into the configuration page for google sitemap generator the update setting button is gone, my screen now goes as far down as the "exclude content" box..even that box is completely empty.

    here are screenshots
site that's not showing the plug in options correctly

in picture two you extra options and if you look at the scroll bar it still has ways to go before it reaches the bottom of the page where the update options button is. Without access to that button i'm stuck on my settings which aren't set up correctly yet. I'm having that same problem on two separate sites and its seriously affecting those sites.

Jeez, can I get any help on this please..or can someone at least recommend another plugin that can create a sitemap that's google friendly and provides a link to the file

Hmmm thats strange, looks like the plugin breaks in the middle of the admin page. Do you have access to the apache log files? Maybe you see some PHP fatal errors there?

Can you direct me to more information on how to do that?

You can try to use your FTP program and check if there is any "log" or "logs" directory which contains something like an "error.log" text file. Inside this file you may search for "Fatal" or "php" and see if there is anything around it.
