Hi guys, I see in console a javascript warning that google maps api is loaded twice. This is because my theme Enfold from kriesi.at has a google maps js included. Were do I comment your js for google maps out of code?

Also having this issue. Any fix yet?

    Thanks!

    Patrick

You’re right: the Google Maps API should not be loaded twice, so if that’s the problem then it would be worth investigating removal of one of those scripts (and if the problem is that event maps aren’t showing then I would recommend removing the version added by the theme).

We can’t offer too much help with third party, non-default themes here on the wordpress.org forum and especially if you are using a commercial theme it would be best to seek support from that author – such as kriesi.at.

    I hope that helps!

I was able to get the Google Map to show in my Single Event pages by commenting out the call to Google Maps js files in the theme. However, there is something weird still with my maps. Where the zoom in and out buttons are supposed to be is just a white line. Can anyone help me? The page in question is http://www.saltboxministries.com/event/winter-snow-competition/.

Hi jdolan, remember that you should generally create new topics rather than adding your voice to threads created by other users:

Posting your own topic is smiled upon. Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

If you are happy to create a new thread that would be great (and if you can also relay if the problem occurs when you use a default theme that would be appreciated).

    Thanks!

No problem, I updated that thread 🙂
