Hello,
I am having a hard time working out how to tell Google what to display for the description in its search results for the index page of my wordpress blogs.
For example: http://www.myblog.com is indexed and getting top Google rankings, so NOT a post page, but the INDEX page and Google is showing something like this for this for description:
"24 Oct 2009...and then just some random text that it grabs..."
This is hurting my CTR and I can figure out how to change it.
Can anyway help me please?
Thanks

Are you on DMOZ at all? Google can take the description from there. A URL would have been helpful ;-)
I use all-in-one-seo plugin
Set a description in the main settings area for the plugin, and that is the description that google picks up

HI both of you and thanks,
However I am not in DMOZ and I have already placed a description in the all-in-one-seo plugin description feild, but Google seems to be ignoring it
Any other advice?
Thanks
(I don't want to give a URL because of specific niche I market in)
how long has it been? Google can take a bit to catch it.....I believe it took nearly a month for it to pick up the change to mine....
