Google is not picking latest post

    WordPress version 3.0.4

    We have noted that recently Google is not picking the latest post where as the content of the other posts (1,980 results) is available in google from the same site celebgalz.com posts.

    For example:

    I have searched for this string in Google:
    “Imogen Thomas affair with married premier”

    here

    and the original post is here.

    Can anyone help to highlight if this is a problem with the my wordpress installation or my wordpress theme (i have recently installed new theme and the problem still exist) or something else?

    I think that perhaps you’re simply not giving Google enough time to pick up the post. I just did a search for your latest posts and it’s there.

    Hi Christine,

    Thanks for your reply. It appears that Google is picking up late.

    Also above I have highlighted other problem that appears to be of WordPress that the Google search results in above link is showing this text “Imogen Thomas affair with married premier” as part of other post. Actually Google should show this Text as part of one post only.

    Google is picking up that text because your site doesn’t have a title tag. You should check your header.php file and see if anything is missing or perhaps there’s an option in your theme that you’ve missed.

    Thanks for your reply. I have changed my theme now to Pilcrow Theme by Automattic. Hope this is theme should be the most standard and complete theme.

    I will wait for next 2 days to see if the results in Google are rectified for old post or Google picks the new post properly and update here accordingly.

    After changing to this new Pilcrow Theme, Google is still not picking the latest posts. Not sure why Google is behaving this way. Now i have removed all the conditions from Robots.txt file and now it looks like this:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow:
    Allow: /*
