google indexing left side bar (4 posts)

Could someone please explain to me, when I put (site:my site) it shows some posts with description in meta tags, some posts with actual post content, and some posts with left side bar content. Same again for tags, etc.

I had a 'quote of the week' on the left sidebar and a lot of posts etc is showing this, I have now taken it off, but am afraid of the categories listing being indexed instead.

I was told that the theme I am using, 'ambient glo' has the sidebars content given more weight by the search engines, then the actual content.

This really gets me, the one attraction about this theme, it was classed as seo friendly.

Is there anything I can do to change this, without changing themes? And why does it seem to show some descriptions, or post content and other times, left sidebar?

I hope someone can help me fill in the blanks.

    Much appreciated.

I would suggest contacting the author of your theme on that.
