    Hello,
Updated virtue. Got a bit scared when everything defaulted and looked crap without fonts, then switched and switched back to Virtue. All my settings are back BUT the fonts are all showing up as something like Times New Roman.

I’m going to switch back to 1.5.6 right now as its a client’s site, but any ideas?

  • Working on a fix, were you using 1.7.7?

I think there is a memory issue with certain servers trying to load all the fonts. I’m hoping to push out a fix today.

    Hi,

I’m also having the same problem with the 2.1.6 update. Google fonts aren’t loading. Not sure what to do, can you help?

Update to the latest version of the theme. If that doesn’t work then try installing this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/redux-framework/

Actually I have the latest theme version I think (2.2.1). I also downloaded the suggested plug-in. I’m using a child theme, and switching back and forth between the original. The problem still persists

So what is the link to your site? Are the font options loading in the admin and not on the site? Because that would be a server issue if the fonts are causing a 403 error. Would need to see a link to understand better.

I can select the font options in the typography section, and they would load on font boxes temporarily and empty out when I revisit the typography area. The result is that the fonts don’t load on the website.

    The website is http://brandonyuong.com.

    Thanks for your help.

When you set the font have you made sure to select a weight?

I just tried changing each option and saving it. Still no go. The problem persists so long as I use a Google Webfont. The standard fonts work, but not the other ones.
