    Hi,
Although my old MT entries have imported into WP with no problem, when I google them, my old MT archives appear (including my old MT blog layout) – the same entries in WP format are nowhere to be found! For example.

I can get to this same page in my current WP format via my archive links…so why wouldn’t google find them?
    I am perplexed.

    :o)

When you used Movable Type you were probably generating HTML files (remember ‘rebuild site’?) WordPress creates posts ‘on the fly’ from the database. Your webserver probably still has all your old html files (generate by MT) sat on it (the default MT folder for these files is http://www.yoursite.com/archives/) You should delete the archives folder using your FTP program and then your Google issues should susbside once Google re-indexes your site. I hope this makes sense. Somebody else will probably explain this much better than I.

No – that makes sense to me – I’ll try that now and report back!
(I will back them up first, just in case).

Ah! Thank you. Just checked and you were exactly right!
