By default, when you type in a search using wordpress, the results are displayed as the entire blogs. If the keyword is common, that may take the page a long time to load up.
Is it possible to display the search results in a way similar to Google - just the headline of the post and only 1-2 lines? If so, how?

Is it possible to display posts within a category in a similar manner. I have maybe 100 posts in a category. I would like to display it in a presentable manner (headline ... few lines... next link at the bottom). -

Posted 7 years ago #Yes, using condensed content for date and category archives plugin. You might also want to look into WP Paginate, which will automatically span category and date archives over several pages.
