   I installed the Deskbar and then uninstalled it an hour or so later. It's hyped as a way to search without using a browser. Huh? If I'm online, and I'm looking for something, why wouldn't I use my browser and use the Google toolbar in the browser to search? I really, really don't understand this tool. It worked fine, installed without problems, etc., but I couldn't see how it would fit into how I used my computer, desktop, and browsers.

   I almost always have a browser open when I am online, still the ability to search any search engine from the desktop or while looking at some site without shifting to another window or tab to do a search is pretty handy. I use it as a dictionary (define:xyz) and calculator (sin 45) too.
