   When I tried to activate the Google Custom Search Plugin I got the following error message:

   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/nowth3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-custom-search/GoogleCSE.php on line 13

   Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

   Hi Ennis,

   Did you ever get this problem figured out? I got the fatal error msg also.

   I emailed the plugin programmer -- the plugin requires PHP5, my server is running on PHP4, that is what is causing this issue.

   I am just going to use my google Custom Search and use some of the code on this page:

   I had to get rid of all the title stuff, modify line for config if necessary.
