Google Calendar.......adding events (7 posts)

I know this is really probably a Google Calendar question, but I am using the Stout Google Calendar Plugin on my site. I've shared my calendar, but how do I set it up so anyone can add to it. Right not it looks like I have to login to Google to add events which in my mind defeats the purpose of having a shared calendar.

I see you can add email addresses to who can use it, but that could be a pain with many people needing access.

I wanted to use the My_Calendar plugin but it doesn't co-operate with my theme (a paid for theme) and they authors won't touch it eithers stuff (that's fine, I understand).

Anyone know how to let people add to Google Calendar without logging into Google?

    THANKS

Sorry, but no. This is not a feature of this plugin.

Sorry, I guess I will rephrase the question..........hoping people have enough experience with Google Calendars.

If I click the little + Icon in the bottom right it takes me to the calendar at Google (not my wordpress). It looks like you have to login to Google to add to it?

I can see the events and calendar view on my blog.

I am just trying to verify if people have to actually login to Google to add events.

    THanks

AFAIK, you have to set up each individual with permission to edit events for a specific calendar. I don't know of a way to allow anonymous users to edit events - which is what unauthenticated users are essentially. So, yes, users will have to log in to edit events (assuming you've set up the users and given them permission.)

    Does that answer your question?
