Google Analytics does not show a title for the home page (2 posts)

    Hi,

I'm new to Google Analytics so not sure if this is standard, but when viewing the stats for my site and the page views, it shows the home page as '/'. There is no title attached to this page. Whereas the other pages visited I can see it has for example; about-us, services, etc.

This theme has a custom home page and I'm not sure if that has something to do with how the home page is viewing in GA?

It's not a major issue but I'm going to have to handover this to the client and I know they'll ask :)

    Thanks.

As far as I'm aware, Analytics doesn't grab your actual page title. It only looks at the URL. For the sub pages it'll have the slug that's part of the URL, so that's where it's getting about-us from.

The home page for every site I have running on Analytics has this behaviour anyway. So I assume it's normal.
