   Typical newbie question! I've got my site built out, quite a few posts for just 2 weeks, and am getting links. The question: I'm confused about what to use for income. I think it's Adsense, but my brother has been blogging for a while and he says Adwords. Help, anyone?

   Adsense is to make money. Adwords is to advertise.

   Depending on how much traffic you get also try Chitika: http://chitika.com/publishers.php?refid=terriannswa it's similar to Adsense but targets to your search visitors (ie. people coming in from google, bing yahoo) and it targets based on what drove them to your site.

   Thanks for the help. I thought I was right on Adsense vs Adwords. I'll also check out Chitika and maybe go back and forth between them on different sites to see which performs best. Any thoughts on Microsoft? I've heard they don't have the presence of Google but better CTR. Any thoughts?

   Adsense would be ok. If you follow simple principles you'll be satisfied.
