Google Adsense Code being corrupted in WP…ads do not display

    For 40+ days I have attempted to implement Adsense Ads on my two WordPress Blog sites. I have access to the Google Community for support…however I am not a programmer and do not know how to write HTML.

    My issues are that I cannot get beyond the initial code implementation stages with Adsense. I copy the code for an ad from the Adsense Ad Code Generator, paste it to my blog post in TEXT mode and when I update the text is corrupted by changing the content. Something in WP is changing my Adsense Code.

    I am not using any Plug-in to install Adsense code although I use 40 plugins total…none have any description about HTML or Java code change.

    Can you please help me?

    This plugin doesn’t help http://wordpress.org/plugins/adsense-plugin/ ?

    If you are switching between text and visual editors, that tends to corrupt code.

    Adsense code is meant to put in a text widget not a post.

    You can try this, http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Javascript but with all the other plugins you run, you might see conflicts.

    Thank you Andrew! I just installed the Adsense-Plugin! Is this an essential plugin to make Adsense work?

    I should have never mentioned Java as I don’t know anything about Java…I have 20 years of computer experience however I have
    never coded or studied any programming language…including HTML…which is very basic.

    I would appreciate any followup comments.

    Thank you kmessinger…I just installed the recommendation by Andrew which is Adsense – Plugin. I will give that a try and if it does not help then I will implement your recommendation.

    I have 20 years of computer experience but no coding or programming languages…I do not understand javascript…have a very basic understanding of html….

    You just stick with one or the other – not ideal if you want add code but are used to the visual editor. But as mentioned above, AdSense should go in a text widget – so that avoids the above problem altogether!

    How do you insert a widget into the body of a Post? Is there a Plug-in to do this?

    EDIT – to put ads in posts, I mean.

    I just looked at 20 widgets that supposedly allow insertion of text. Do you have a recommendation of a widget to insert text within a post?

    If you want to put AdSense in a post, try the plugin I linked to above. You can’t put a widget in a post.
