I've been using Blogger on my site for a while now but I don't like how they only support atom for syndication. I'm thinking about getting into podcasting so rss without having to go through feedburner.com would be nice. My present site is http://www.stinner.com/blog/ . I would like WordPress to look exactly like it down to the 3 columns with the Google Adsense ad and search on the right, the previous posts listed on the left. Basically, I would like a carbon copy of the site I have now plus the calendar WordPress has in it. Is this possible? I can't figure out where to place the code for the Google AdSense and search. I would also like to change the Meta links on the left column if possible.

    Yes......nearly.

    You'll need a 3 column template (Trident)
The underlining of the category stuff in the sidebar could be a bit tricky...... but everything else looks very doable indeed.

Would it not be simpler to cut and paste the existing template into a text editor and substitute the WP functions for the Blogger ones?

http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop tells you about the code you need to put at the top of the template, and the code you put around the entries (kind of like the <Blogger> tags)
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags should give you most of the information you need to replace the Blogger tags with WP ones.

You should also save the page with a .php extension rather than .html :)
