   I know that this is probably on here somewhere but here is my problem. I want to upgrade my install of wordpress but i dont want to lose all my posts and comments ie. the database.
   I have installed a fresh copy of wordpress 2 and done it both ways. Once with a new database, which loses all my posts and once with using the existing database. The problem is if i choose to use the existing database is that if i goto the admin page of the new install it still says 1.5.2 and the install script on my host says, "it appears that wordpress is already installed" so i don't think it will let me install it using the same database. How do i do this and not lose all my posts. Thanks

   Have you had a look at Upgrading_WordPress?

   I have, rather my question is really can i somehow move my database over to another site with the newest wordpress on it. I want to keep both sites up and running while i work on the backend. Does this make sense? So i have one site that has wp 1.5 and one site that has 2.0 but i would like to use the same database. how do i export from one to the other?
