I need to reinstall 2.5 since there are too many internal server problems with 2.6, I've lost my blog entirely, and none of the suggested solution seem to work.
Is there likely to be any problem with going back to 2.5?

There shouldn't be.
Just reload the database from the 2.5 backup.
Reinstall the core wp 2.5 files. Be careful not to overwrite the wp-content folder.

That's what I had to do when all of the suggestions to get 2.6 to work failed. Very important not to overwrite the wp-content folder. That's where all of your themes, plugins, blah blah blah are.
