    [snipped the rant]

I just wish we could find a solution. here’s my life project and I’m slowly disintegrating, wondering if I should just [redacted] close up shop in light of so much goddammed adversity.

here’s the message I keep getting:

I removed the various rants as they’re not exactly providential to the issue at hand.

Assuming you’re getting this on your WP site, which loads a 404 for me but works, to start with have you renamed your plugin directory to plugins-old and removed your .htaccess?

Where in WP are you getting the error?

Ipstenu, I have fweded this to my web dev as I have no idea what it means
but basically the error and slowness is happening in the dashboard and on the front-end of the site, what the readers see.
I edit an article and hit ‘update’ or ‘publish’ and it takes forever, and often results in a connection error. when finally I manage to save the edits, I then go to another tab and reload the site to verify changes were put in, and that loads forever and often leads to errors.
    thanks

I see your site just fine when I go to http://www.screencomment.com

First loading took forever on my part, but it did work eventually, and the following pages responded fast.

And, as a side note : if you’re unhappy with a web host while your website is your Big Accomplishment, don’t fret, try another web host before allowing your dreams to disintegrate. There’s not just Godaddy out there.

I used GoDaddy hosting for several years.

My advice: Switch to another host. Seriously, you will never solve your speed issues on GoDaddy hosting. They’re overloaded as hell and slowness is the price for that. The 4GH cloud service helps, but not enough to make it worth it.

If you don’t have that option immediately, install WP-Super-Cache. It helps on GoDaddy hosting a whole lot, as long as the majority of your site’s visitors are not logging in to it.
