Howdy,
I've been running WP on Go Daddy for over a year, and it's always worked fine. Even the upgrade to 2.1 worked nicely. However, once in a while, I will get a database error. I redid the config file, and it all checks out -- else it would never work. It seems weird that the only time I'd ever have an issue with the MySQL at Go Daddy would be right after my upgrade.
Anyone have any idea what it might be?

If wp-config.php is correct you would expect that you shouldn't get database errors.
Consider reporting that problem to GoDaddy as it would seem something is WRONG with the database server.
I'm running 2.1 on GoDaddy hosting with no issues. Might just be that database server.

I'm having the same exact issue. However, I have not pinned down what the cause is. Anyone have any other ideas? GoDaddy isn't being too helpful.
