GMail Player Widget Slow To Load In IE7

I recently wrote a plugin that allows you to add the audio player from GMail as a sidebar widget. This audio player is done in Flash. The problem I have is that in IE7 the widget takes over 60 seconds to load and start playing. This problem dos not occur if I load the player in a standard HTML or PHP page using the same method used in the plugin. Any thoughts?
