    Hi,

I’m using the Glider theme from Elegant Themes and the Blog page shows on the Menu, but when you click on it, it just slides back up to the top of the page where “About Us” is. I’ve created a sample post, but that didn’t show up. Does anyone know what the fix might be? I just want to be able to click on Blog and go to my Blog page.

    Thanks

  • Hi hlvictoriabc,

Can you post the url so we could get a better idea of what is happening?

    Hi Ryan,

    My site URL is shoponlinevia.com,

    Thanks very much

    Hi hlvictoriabc,

Have you created a blog category and assigned it to the theme? If haven’t so, create a blog category (Posts > Categories) and go to Glider Theme Options > General Settings > General tab. Under the Blog Category setting, choose the category from the dropdown list.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi Ryan,

Yes, I did that, but it still doesn’t work. When I click Blog on the menu, it just redirects to the About Us section. I have tweaked with this theme a bit to get it to have a slightly different look and I initially removed the blog portion from the header.php. That removed it from the menu. But when I put that code back in to get the blog back, it showed up on the menu, but it just won’t show any blog posts.

I may have to reinstall it.

Thanks for trying to help me with this, very much appreciated

    Hi hlvictoriabc,

Probably some code might have been missed. I have tested it myself at my end and it seems it’s working ok. So reinstalling should help.

    Hi Ryan,

Yep, I’m gonna uninstall it and start from scratch to see if it comes back.

    Appreciate your time and trouble

    Have a great day

Found out what the problem was. The updated version of the theme had a mistake. It was coded as cat_ID instead of catID.

Just wanted to finish this off, even though I’ve since learned that commercial theme questions are not allowed on this forum.
