    But I cannot find for wordpress 3.0.

    I installed files at

    Before I tried when I used WPMU like this;

    in cntrol panel I Changes path from "/wpmu/blog1/" to "/blog1/".

    I make new folder for "/blog1/" and copied index.php and .htaccess file.

    I chanegd index.php;

    "require('./wp-blog-header.php');" to ".wpmu/wp-blog-header.php"

    I changed wp-config.php

    $base = '/wpmu/';
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'example.com' );
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/wpmu/' );

    to

    $base = '/';
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'example.com' );

  2. You can't.

    Please see the note at
    http://wpdocs.sourceforge.jp/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    (the same page you were on) near the bottom where it explains that when running a network, you just cannot force it to do this.
