  • I’m getting the same … BuddyPress Links and Links Pro is broken with the upgrade to WP 3.5.

I have disabled the BP Links plugin. Will wait for the plugin author’s update on this. Interestingly, even Buddypress plugin was also broken and they too had an update instantly and it got rectified but BP links is late to respond. Still waiting…

Releasing an update today which resolves this. Its an annoying change to WP 3.5 which will probably break *a lot* of plugins, but at least the fix is easy 😉

You’re right @mrmaz. Its an annoying change. For instance, one of my fav plugin was Database Browser by Chris Taylor. It saves me several trips to PhpMyAdmin for any database related works. With this plugin, I can check the tables right in the admin panel. Today suddenly it started showing up errors related to wpdb -> prepare() – never has it happened so far.

I guess, WP guys need to throw some alert or something to plugin authors well in advance of releasing their own update. Doing that may save the plugin users a lot.

Btw, thanks for responding early. We will wait for your update.
