   I was running my blog on my owner server and decided to start a new blog on Bluehost. Im very new to all this and struggling to understand the process.

   I bought myself a domain name with godaddy.com today. I then change the nameservers to hostblues.

   I used to quick wordpress install

   Now what?

   How to do I access my wordpress? I went to my site roamingwithroan.com and nothing is there.
   I then went to http://www.roamingwithroan.com/wp-admin and it doesnt allow me to do anything. Do I have to wait a few days for my domain name to be connected to bluehost?

   Im completely clueless lol... Please help.

   I think its working now... Their must of been delays with the domain name linking up with Hostblue.

   How can I change the url? I mean is there any way I can remove the "wordpress" from the end?

   You have to buy a domain name... I got my from godaddy.com . U can buy them from heaps of places. e.g google

   But the blog is http://bestgiftstokolkata.com/wordpress/. Is there any way I can delete the "wordpress" thing fom the end?

   I think you can use upgrade service to mapping your domain, and then you can delete wordpress.com

   Looks like you figured it out. On bluehost, your primary domain will work with wordpress, so long as you install the files in the web root directory (www or public_html). Also, you can host additional domains on the same bluehost account by registering a new domain and then saying it is an "add on" in a subdirectory.

    hey all... please someone help me.. i bought a new domain (prodesigners.info) from go daddy. and then i prefer hosting from bluehost. everything seems ok with it when i installed wordpress using simple script. its says finally installation is successful. but when i click the admin panel url they gave, there opens something dffrent.. and im struggling with it... :( please someone help me... :(

    What is the specific error you're seeing? When I look at prodesigners.info I see the normal WordPress front page and I see the normal admin panel login at prodesigners.info/wp-admin. Was there some delay in the resolution of the URL on DNS or something like that?
