    I’m having trouble getting started.

    I use Contact 7. I’ve installed your plug-in.

I searched the forum, documentation, but I’m confused.

    ONE
Do I need to use a prefix for fields? For example, I have [text* site-name].

Do I need to prefix all fields with cfdb- ? So [text* cfdb-site-name]

I guess I’m looking for a step by step set-up (not installation) guide.

    TWO
Under Short Codes there is a yellow highlighted area asking for a form name. But there are no options. Do I need to rename my form? Or add code at the top of the Contact 7 code?

Also – Did I see somewhere that we can export DIRECTLY into Excel? Without converting to comma or pipe delineated. It would be great if a user could click on a link, Excel would open with the data.

SO SORRY if I missed an obvious article or documentation. 🙂

    Hope you can help.

    No

No. Just create a CF7 form and submit some data.

The confusion here is probably because you don’t have any form submissions yet. Submit some data via one of your forms, then CFDB pages will be aware of it. CFDB is not aware of the form definition in CF7, only data that is submitted.

No. There is no export to .xls, only .csv.
