I have started getting spam messages from my Footer Contact Form, I have tested it and it only lets through messages that match the captcha phrase, so how are spammers getting past it? Can I change the settings to make it harder, like more characters?
Thanks,
Mike.

Have the same problem in a similar context.
I could try other captcha plugins but what I appreciate in Really Simple Captcha is the small size, ideal in places such as footer forms.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi
Yep I am in the same boat - 16 in 3 days to be precise. Is there anyway to make Real Simple Captcha harder for the spammers?

If you can suggest a viable alternative that integrates seamlessly with Contact Form 7....

For comments, what Ipstenu said, For CF7, use the Q&A option and change the question(s) at frequent intervals. Things like "What color is a red dress" or "Is fire hot or cold" usually work pretty well.

Hi
Apologies for the confusion but I realised last night it wasn't my contact page with Real Simple Captcha as this page was not the target for the spammers. I disabled the captcha plugin in question and I installed Spam Free WordPress plugin which is easy under Genesis. So far has kept the spammers out of my comments.
