[resolved] Getting same color on navigation bar on Revolution theme (8 posts)

    Hi,

    Using Revolution theme on my site (http:homeinspectorshome.com) and recently added a plugin to allow for free directory listings.

    However, the navigation bar now extends past one line and uses a second line. Everything is fine and functional, except the color of the 2nd row of the navigation is a different color and I need it to match.

    I played with various settings in the header.php (thinking it may have to do with depth) and in the style.css and have managed to change all the colors of the navigation bar, EXECPT for it to do what I want which is to have a #999900 background color on the second row.

    Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance,

    look for this CSS element in your style css:

    #subnavbar {
    background-color:#666666;

    and change the background-color:#666666; to:
    background-color:#999900;

    I appreciate the tip, but already tried that and it doesn;t change the background color of the 2nd row of the navigation bar.

    Thanks,

    RC

    You have THREE navigation bars.

    My suggestion above will change BG of the nav bar that is third from the top. Isn't it what you want? If not may then I misunderstood you.

    If I am looking at the wrong Nav bar, then please point me to the right one.

    Hi,

    Sorry, I guess I didn't explain myself correctly. I have 3 bars; the first is OK and with the correct colors, the second is the one I would like to change, and the 3rd is OK as is.

    Thanks,

    RC

    to change the color of the second bar to #999900, you need to change the two CSS elemnets:

    1. look for this:
    #wrap {

    in it change:
    background-color:#DDDDDD; to this:

    background-color:#999900;

    2. look for this:

    #navbarleft {

    In this element add the following property:

    background-color:#999900;

    Awesome, that did it. I never thought I would have to change/add two things to get this to work.

    Thanks a million t-p, I really appreciate it!
