Getting Rid of Gray navigation bar up top?

    How do I get rid of the gray navigation bar at the top of the page? View the screenshot. I have an arrow pointing to the area I’d like to get rid of. I really dislike that bar being up there. Screenshot

    A screenshot is of no use. What might help is a link to a page demonstrating the problem and a reasonably detailed description of the issue.
