Getting rid of enclosures? (2 posts)

Every post in my blog contains links to two .wav files, and wordpress seems to add two corresponding custom fields to each post keyed "enclosure," each with the address to one of the files. I understand that this feature is related to the RSS function, but I do not use RSS and so do not need the enclosure keys at all.

I do have other intentions for the custom fields, however, so I want to be able to remove the enclosure field. Clicking the "delete" button next to the field just refreshes the edit entry page without changing anything.

Any help? The only posts I found that were related to this were about WP 1.5, and I'm using 2.0.2.

I'm having the same problem! It's so obnoxious... every time I delete an enclosure, it pops right back up! I don't want the video files on my latest entry enclosed, but it's proving impossible to delete them. Does anyone know how to get around this? Is there a way to disable a link from being auto-detected as an enclosure, if it's not on your own server?

    Thanks!
