getting comments to appear at the bottom of a page?

    I need some help, I got a website going with wordpress and It looks the way I like, however, I want people to have the ability to post comments at the bottom of the pages, and once I approve the comments, I would like them to appear directly underneath the page that the person posted the comment on. RIght now, I can only get the comments to appear when putting the recent comments widget in the sidebar, and when you click on a comment, it sometimes does not take you to the comment but rather the page the person commented on without their comment appearing. I have approved the most recent comments, and cant figure this one out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    To set a default for comments, go to Admin->Settings->Discussion and check ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’. You can also set conditions for comments to be held for moderation.

    To allow/disallow comments on an individual post/page, scroll to the bottom of the Add/Edit page and check/uncheck the ‘Allow Comments’ checkbox.

    Hey VTXYZZY,
    Thanks for the help. I checked both of those things you mentioned and I already have that in place. Is there something else?

    To give you some more background, I changed the theme yesterday to a new theme, now its “Bueno theme” would making a theme change somehow screw things up? Or do you have any other ideas?

    Changing a theme could definitely change the way comments are allowed/displayed. Change to the WP Default theme and see if comments display the way you want.

    Does the theme have any options regardint comments?

    you know what, I am new as hell to this. I don’t think so, I think I will just let it ride for a bit, until I get a buddy over that is a computer person who can help out. I guess at the end of the day, I just want people to post stuff without having to click to many things and it to show up on the website page they posted at, to me seems simple, but for some reason its over my head with this theme thing. It think you are right and the theme change may have jacked up wordpress somehow.

    Hey guys!

    I’m actually having the same problem. I can’t get the comments field or “leave a reply” field show up at all on my chosen blogsite. Although, I get the “leave a reply” at theother sites where I have added the ability to leave a comment(I.e. portfolio site). It’s really frustrating, and I’d really appreciate help. I just started working on the site, and there is lots to do…Here’s the link: http://www.hdolsen.com I’m pretty new at this (although I have some webdesign class skills) so I’d really appreciate any tip or help you might have.

    PS: I tried using a comment plugin called “IntenseDebate”, although it had the same problem and only worked on the “non-blog” site…
